Linda Gayle Carter: Loris

1951 – 2026

     Linda Gayle Carter of Loris passed away Thursday, May 14, in her daughter’s home. She was 74.

     Born in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Howard Bethel Fipps and Velia Leonard Fipps.

     She is survived by her husband, Junior Thomas Carter of the home; one daughter, Ginger Rivera and husband Ramon of Loris; a brother, Harold Fipps of Loris; two sisters, Brenda Brown and husband Les of Florence and Sabrinia Grainger of Loris; five grandchildren; and fifteen great greatgrandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Donnie Ray Fipps, Shorty Fipps, and Roger Fipps.

     Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 18, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Princeville Cemetery, Loris.
