Ausborne Elliott, Sr.: Nichols

1939 – 2026

     Robert Perry Ausborne Elliott, Sr. of Nichols passed away on Monday, May 11, at Conway Medical Center. He was 8.

     Born Nov. 1, 1939, in Mullins, he was the son of the late Ernest Monroe Elliott, Sr. and the late Flauda Lenora Mincey Elliott.

     Survivors include his sons, Ausborne “Chip” Elliott, Jr., Aaron Brent Elliott, and Erick Damon Elliott; brothers Eugene Elliott, Emerson H. Elliott, Robert C. Elliott (Sheila); and sisters Donna Jones and Loretta Pylant; and five grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Elliott was predeceased by his brothers, Ernest M. Elliott, John Leonard Elliott, and Asbury “A.B.” Elliott; and sisters Lucille Harris, Phyllis Bolton, and Dot Altman.

     Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Pastor Hunter Johnson officiating. Committal services followed at Mount Olive Cemetery.
