Daphne Fowler Fipps: Loris

1929 – 2026

     Daphne Fowler Fipps of Loris passed away on Friday, May 22, in Summerville. She was 96.

     Mrs. Fipps was born on June 8, 1929 in Clarendon, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Clarence H. Fowler and Clydie Stephens Fowler.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bruce Fipps; a son Henry Bruce Fipps, Jr.; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

     She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Fipps Wieringa and Carol Bruce Fipps Short; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

     Funeral services were planned for noon Saturday, May 30, from the Chapel at Goldfinch, Loris with the Rev. Dr. Paul A. Wood, Jr. officiating, burial following at Patterson Cemetery, Loris.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services at the chapel.
