Betty Rabon: Nichols

1950 – 2026

     Betty Rabon of Nichols passed away on Friday, May 22, in Huntersville. She was 76.

     Mrs. Rabon was born in Floyd County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Monroe Slone and the late Helen Marie Swafford.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rabon was predeceased by her husband, Arthur B. Rabon, Jr.; and five siblings, Linda Douglas, Lear Deel, Mary Stiltner, Aretta Thompson, and George Perry.

     Survivors include three children, Steve Rabon of Florida, Gary Rabon of Illinois, and April Misher of North Carolina; two step children, Gail Bridges of Nichols and David Rabon of Loris; and fifteen grandchildren.

     Family planned to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Friday, May 29, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. John Holmes officiating, burial following at Hillcrest Cemetery.
