Bufa Mae Ikner Milligan: Tabor City

1933 – 2026

     Bufa Mae Ikner Milligan of Tabor City passed away on Saturday, July 4, in Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Whiteville. She was 92.

     Born July 7, 1933 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Leamon George Ikner and Rosettie Williams Ikner.

     She is survived by two daughters, Donna Marie Milligan of Tabor City and Janice Milligan Bullard of Whiteville; two sons, Darrell Wayne Milligan of Chadbourn and Stevie Dewey Milligan of Tabor City; two brothers, Palmer Ikner of Linwood and Roy Dale Ikner of Whiteville; two sisters, Mary Patricia Shanahan and Diane Ikner of Whiteville; ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Allen Milligan; two sons, Gary Neal Milligan and Michael Allen Milligan; one granddaughter, Tangie Singletary; and a sister, Alfredia Ikner.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the chapel.
