Thomas (Tommy) Elton Norris of Thomasville, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at his home. He was 87.
He was born Dec. 21, 1938 in Columbus County, Tabor City, to William Henry Norris and Grace Virginia Grice Norris. He retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries after more than 40 years of service at Plant T. Plant L, and Plant D. He loved working in his yard and his sports, specifically the Atlanta Braves and UNC Tarheels.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James (Junior) Norris, Waitus (Wade) Norris, and Jimmy Norris; and a nephew, Mitchell Norris.
On July 1, 1975, he married Patricia (Pat) Ann Grainger, who survives of the home. Also surviving is his daughter, Pam Norris of Arcadia; and his nephews, Timmy Norris, Mike Norris, Wade Norris, and Randy Norris.
Per Tommy’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
