Gervais Euleene Long: Nakina

1934 – 2026

     Gervais Euleene Long of Nakina passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, in her home. She was 92.

     Born Sept. 11, 1934 in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Macy Almond Long and Lollie Belle Long.

     She is survived by three daughters, Frankie Lynn Long of Nakina, Donna Long (Thurston Watkins) of North Myrtle Beach, Vicky Long Faulk (James Jr.) of Tabor City; two sons, Paul Ken Long and Ricky Long (Shelley) of Nakina; one sister, Ida Smith (Stan) of Little River; seven grandchildren, Danielle, Ethan, Jonathan, Skyler, Madison, Joshua, and Savannah; and five great grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McLennon Long; three brothers, Guy Long, Macy Almond Long, Jr., and William “Bill” Long; and son-in-law Richard Martin.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, in Pireway Primitive Baptist Church, burial following in the church cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services in the church.
