James Lamar Carlisle: Tabor City

1954 – 2026

     James Lamar Carlisle “Chubby” of Tabor City, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14. He was 72.

     Born in Horry County, he was the son of the late Norbit Clarence Carlisle and Emma Mae Turbeville.

     He is survived by one son, Brett Carlisle of Tabor City; one daughter, Angie Hawes of Tabor City; four brothers, Shelton Carlisle, Truman Carlisle, Ashley Carlisle, Elmer Ray Carlisle; two sisters, Vicky Hardee and Britty Butler; and four grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, JT Carlisle, Norbit Carlisle, Alton Carlisle, David Carlisle, Roy Carlisle; and one sister, Lilby Cartrette.

     Visitation was planned from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 18, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.
