Edith Marie Hale: Loris
Edith Marie Hale of Bonnie Bay Road, Loris, died Friday, Nov. 30, at McLeod Loris hospital. She was 75.
Mrs. Hale was born in Lumberton, a daughter of the late Harvey C. Elmore and Rosa Mae Broadwell. She was married for 46 years to the late Guy Eugene Hale. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church of Loris.
Surviving are six daughters, Ida Slaughter of Loris, Barbara Gary of Longs, Deborah Benson of Conway, Linda Hale of Conway, Annette Bass of Longs, and Sheila McLennan of Sunset Beach; four sons, Sonny Ray Hale of Loris, Thomas Hale of Longs, David Hale of Wichita Falls, Tex., and Harvey Hale of Conway; 30 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara Stevens of Conway and Faye Stack of Santee.
Visitation was planned from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Mack Hutson and Rev. John Holmes officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery.
