Ruth Helen Watts: Tabor City

     Ruth Helen Watts of Tabor City died Sunday evening, Dec. 9, in her home. She was 71.
     Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Carline Reaves and Cleve Ward.  
    She is survived by her husband, Randy Huie Watts; one daughter, Sandy Fowler and husband Rusty of Green Sea; one son, Steve Sykes and wife Sheila of Clarendon; two brothers:  C.T. Ward of High Point, and Thomas Ward of Whiteville; one sister, Phyllis Teems of Dallas, NC; six grandchildren, Tracie Branch, Tiffani Branch, Brandi Benson, Brittany Sykes, Austin Fowler, Corey Sykes and three great grandchildren:  Montana Bracey, Drake Bracey and Jobe Benson.  
    She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Sykes Branch, a son Michael Sykes, a brother Carlos Ward and a sister Emma Hardie.
    Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 in Inman Funeral Home of Tabor City.  
    Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12 in the Inman Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. James Howard Nobles, Rev. Brooks Sykes and Dr.Tom Ward.  Burial was to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
