Minnie Jernigan: Wilmington

    Minnie Jernigan of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Dec. 17 in New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington. She was 79.
    She was born in Horry County, to the late Johnny and Susanna Strickland Greenwood.
    She was preceded in death by a son, Buddy Cribb, a daughter, Shelby Jean Norris, a sister, Bonnie Harrelson, a brother, Braxton Greenwood and a great grandson Nicholas Kincaid.  
    She was a CNA at High Point Memorial and New Hanover Hospital and also manager for Worsley Companies for 17 years.
    Survivors include two sons:  Richard Jernigan of Leland, and Jimmy Cribb of Rocky Point; three daughters:  Linda Kincaid of Rocky Point, Kim Blake of Leland, and Yuvonne Jernigan of the home; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a step-brother, Roger Greenwood of Leland.
    A special thank you to Christine Craig, from the family, for her caring and compassion of Mrs. Jernigan.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 in Inman Funeral Home of Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 in the Inman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jamey Ward officiating.  Burial was to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
