Scotty Branton: Longs

     Scotty Branton passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, Jan. 4, at his residence in Longs. He was 54.
     Mr. Branton was born in Little Rock, Ark., a son of Annette Branton Stoots and the late Jesse Gilbert Branton.  He worked in the Branton family grocery stores and was known as the “Hardware Man”.  Mr. Branton attended Living Water Baptist Church.  He was predeceased by his father Jesse Gilbert Branton.
     Survivors include his mother, Annette Branton Stoots of Longs; stepfather, Arnold Stoots of Longs; one sister, Tammy Brown of Longs; three brothers, Mark Branton and his wife Penny, Jeff Branton, and Rodney Branton and his wife Michelle all of Longs; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
     Visitation was planned from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
     Funeral services were planned for 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Living Water Baptist Church with Rev. Lebron Crisp officiating and Mark Branton giving the eulogy.  Burial will to follow in the Mt. Leon Cemetery.
