Thomas P. Sawyer, Jr.: Conway
Thomas Pinckney Sawyer, Jr., of Conway, passed away Monday, Jan. 28 at Conway Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was 31.
He was born on Aug. 19, 1981 in Conway to Mr. Thomas P. Sawyer, Sr. and Mrs. Gwen Snowden Sawyer. Mr. Sawyer worked as an apprentice funeral director and was a member of Free Welcome Freewill Baptist Church in Conway. Thom will be most remembered as a loving son, brother, grandson and fiance’ and will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.
Survivors include his father, Thomas P. “Tommy” Sawyer, Sr. and wife, Jamie of Myrtle Beach; mother, Gwen S. Sawyer of Conway; brother, Bryan Moss of Wilmington; sister, Sarah Moss of Norfolk, Va., maternal grandmother, Muriel Snowden of Conway; two uncles, Greg Snowden and wife, Rhonda and David F. Sawyer and wife, Sherry all of Conway; two aunts, Connie Squires and husband, Harold and Theresa Snowden all of Conway; his fiance’, Natasha Cannon Snowden and her children, Rileigh, Lilly and Ollie all of Conway, and special cousins, Roy Snowden and Westley Sawyer and friend, Tommy Stevens.
Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Hardwick Funeral Home in Loris.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Hutson, Rev. Ray Cribb and Rev. Cliff Mixon officiating. Committal services was to follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the church of one’s choice.
