William “Bill” Solon Livingston, Jr.: Conway
William “Bill” Solon Livingston, Jr. of Conway passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. He was 85.
Born in the Dogwood Neck community on Aug. 24, 1927, he was a son of the late William Solon Livingston, Sr. and Mossie Anna Stanley.
Mr. Livingston was retired from the retail industry, construction and farming and was also a Navy veteran.
Mr. Livingston was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Virginia Wood Livingston, and four sisters, Letha Chestnut, Nina Watson Edge, Hazel Pugh and Pauline Cannon.
He is survived by his three children, William Solon Livingston, III of Conway, Paula Reep of Waynesville, and Jerri Woodle Conway; one sister, Myrtle Edge of North Myrtle Beach; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Livingston Family Cemetery with his sons-in-laws, Rev. Terry Reep and Joe Woodle officiating. The family was to greet friends following the service.
