Dennis Earl Cook: Loris

     Dennis Earl Cook of Loris passed away on Tuesday, May 7. He was 64.
     Mr. Cook was born in Conway, a son of the late Lester Rufus Cook and the late Pauline Ray Cook.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Vietnam War and was a member of Loris First Baptist Church. Mr. Cook taught at Loris Middle School for over 20 years and was a coach.
     Survivors include his wife, Ruby Steen Cook of Loris; two sons, Daniel Cook and Jim Cook of Loris; two brothers, Harold Cook and Ricky Cook of Lancaster; two sisters, Rachel Helms and Janice Moore of Lancaster; and five grandchildren.
     The family was to receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, in the fellowship hall at Loris First Baptist Church.
     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m., immediately following visitation, at Loris First Baptist Church with Rev. Drew Jackson, Dr. Jim Mezick and Rev. Hunter Johnson officiating. Burial was to follow in the Happy Home Cemetery.
