Darlene Francis Londino Shaheen: Loris

1947 – 2017
Darlene Francis Londino Shaheen of Loris passed away on Friday, Feb. 24, at Conway Medical Center following an illness. She was 69.
Mrs. Shaheen was born on April 16, 1947 in Charlestown, Massachusetts, the beloved daughter of the late Bernard “Buck” Angelo Londino and the late Bernadine F. Auch De’Angelo. Darlene worked as a bus driver for Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in Boston but will be most remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, George P. Shaheen of the home; daughters, Michelle Doherty and husband, Jason of Massachusetts and Maria Gelinas and husband, Rodney of Florida; brothers, David Farrell and wife, Nancy of Loris, and Vincent “Vinnie” De’Angelo and wife, Jennifer of Myrtle Beach; sisters, Josephine McLaughlin and Susan De’Angelo both of Massachusetts; brothers, Bernie Londino of Texas and Bruce Londino of Massachusetts; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; God-daughter, Lisa Hanson of Florida; aunt, Janette of Florida and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shaheen was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph “Joe” and Ronnie De’Angelo and two sisters, Diane Hanson and Dina De’Angelo.
Memorial services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Todd officiating.
