Doug Hodge: Tabor City

1955 – 2017

    Doug Hodge of Tabor City passed away Monday, Feb. 27. He was 61.
    Mr. Hodge was born in Loris, a son of the late Johnny and Ethel Lee Hodge. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  Mr. Hodge was a best friend to his children and was loved by all who knew him. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. His granddaughter, Tatelyn, had him wrapped around her finger, and they enjoyed taking trips to Fowler’s Grill together. Mr. Hodge enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles.
    He was predeceased by one brother, Gene Hodge.
     Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Judy Lynn Hodge of Tabor City; a son, Patrick Hodge (Lisa) of Loris; a daughter, Misty Hodge of Tabor City; six grandchildren, Tatelyn Fowler, Hailey Ray Fowler, Colby Fowler, Alexis Hodge, Cameron Long, and Riley Hodge; one brother, Kenneth Hodge (Janet) of Green Sea; and his uncle and aunt, Ronnie and Ivey Sheppard of Columbia.
     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel, burial following in the Norris Cemetery, Tabor City.
