Hazel Causey Fowler: Loris

1930 – 2017

    Hazel Causey Fowler of Loris, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, at Hope Arbor of Loris. She was 86.
    Born on Nov. 26, 1930 in Conway, she was the daughter of the late Robert Causey and the late Rebecca Faircloth Causey. Mrs. Fowler worked in the cafeteria at Loris High School until her retirement and was of the Baptist faith.
     Survivors include her son, Ronnie W. Fowler and wife, Candy of Loris; daughter, Cynthia F. Bellamy and husband, Larry of Loris; three loving grandchildren, Shawn Bellamy and wife, Regina, Brandie Traylor and husband, Gene and Brandon Fowler and wife, Rachel and five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Casey, Carter, Caden and Lily.
     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fowler was predeceased by her husband, William Shefton “Shep” Fowler; four brothers, Clarence, Johnny, Iverson and Gaston Causey and two sisters, Flerrie Long and Daisy Bessent.
     The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 3,  at Hardwick Funeral Home.
    Funeral services will be private.
    The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
