Lloyd Russell Tyler: Conway

1931 – 2017
Lloyd Russell Tyler of Conway passed away Sunday, March 12, at his home. He was 85.
Mr. Tyler was born Dec. 1, 1931 in Loris, son of the late Giles Ivy Tyler and the late Ruth Priscilla DeBois Tyler. Mr. Tyler served his country with courage and honor during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. After serving in the military he worked as a mechanic until his retirement and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his special nieces and nephews, Debbie Bargiol and husband, Jason Bargiol, Sr., Randy Chestnut, Sr. and wife, Billie and Kathy Mishoe and husband, Wendell; his special great nieces and nephews, Jennie Cassidy Adair and husband, Travis, Samantha Cassidy and fiance’ Adam Smith, Kayla Chestnut Strickland and husband, Tommy, Randy Chestnut, Jr., Jason Bargoil, Jr. and Russell Mishoe and wife, Heather and his sister, Merle Williams of Longs.
Mr. Tyler was predeceased by his wife, Albertain Chestnut Tyler; four brothers, Clyde Stevens, Irlon Tyler, Eugene Tyler, William “Bud” Wayne Tyler and seven sisters, Odetha Suggs, Vera Suggs, Magnolia Quick, Earlene Duncan, Loraine Causey, Brookie Patrick and Geraldine Inman.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel in Loris with Rev. David Watts and Rev. Roger Chestnut officiating. Committal services followed at Bethlehem Cemetery.
