Joanne Phillips Lancaster: Troutman

1941 – 2017

Joanne Phillips Lancaster of Troutman went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30 at Carolinas Medical Center. She was 76.
She was born on Jan. 6, 1941 in Mullins, to the late Pelton and Mamie Phillips.
Joanne was a retired hostess from Big Daddy’s of Lake Norman. She loved gardening flowers and spending time on the lake. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren, as well as her sweet dog, Sally. Most of all she loved her Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Lancaster; four brothers, and three sisters.
Joanne is survived by her daughter, Angela (Sammy) Black; son, Andy (Cheryl) Arnette; sister, Annie Blanton; and two grandchildren, Brandon Arnette and Maggie Lancaster. Her memory will be cherished by all.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the planned 3 p.m. funeral service Sunday, April 2, at Fallstown Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. David Troutman officiating. A private committal was to immediately follow the service at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Lancaster’s memory may be made to Levine’s Cancer Institute here.
