Geneva L. Long: Nakina

1923 – 2017

     Geneva L. Long of Nakina died Saturday, April 1, in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center, Whiteville. She was 93.
     Born May 19, 1923 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late James Ransom and Lettie Long and the widow of Henry Joe Long.
     She is survived by two sons, Bobby Joe Long and Guy Long, both of Nakina; a sister, Hallie Jacobs of Tabor City; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
     In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Tony Long.
     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, in Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.
     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City, with burial following in Ward Cemetery, Mooney Ford Road, Nakina.
