John W. Mishoe, Sr.: Loris

1932 – 2017

     John W. Mishoe, Sr., of Loris passed away Wednesday, April 19. He was 84.
     Mr. Mishoe was born in Conway, a son of the late Wiley Levi and Grace Stevens Mishoe.  He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean War and was a 52 year member of the American Legion Post #41, in Loris where he served as a past Commander and Adjutant.
     Mr. Mishoe was predeceased by his wife, Frances C. Mishoe; four brothers, Osteen Mishoe, Thomas Mishoe, Tony Mishoe, and Paul Mishoe; and one sister, Kathleen Hardee.
    Survivors include one son, John Wayne Mishoe, Jr., of Loris; one daughter, Donna Mishoe Spivey of Loris; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margie Schmolke of Iowa.
    Graveside services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at Oak Dale Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Louis Venable officiating. Family planned to receive friends after the service in the Oak Dale Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
