1924 – 2017 Ruby Lee Doyle Merck of Loris passed away on Thursday, April 20 at McLeod Loris hospital. She was 92.
Born on Sept. 24, 1924 in Loris, she was the daughter of the late John Pearlie Doyle and the late Nellie Priscilla Stevens Doyle. Mrs. Merck was a loving homemaker and a longtime member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two sons, Frank Merck and Charles F. Merck, both of Loris; daughter, Annie Rabon and husband, Howard of Loris; two grandchildren, Danielle Charles Floyd Merck and Charles Elvis Merck and wife, Karen and four great-grandchildren, Kayllon Cline, Alyivah Grace Merck, Joseph Merck and Janey Merck.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Merck was predeceased by her husband, Charles Furman Merck, her brother, Wilson Doyle and her sister, Estaleen Parvin.
Family planned to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 21 at Hardwick Funeral Home, Loris.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel, committal services following at Twin City Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Mark Hughes officiating.
