Louise C. Buffkin: Tabor City

1931 – 2017

     Louise C. Buffkin of Tabor City died Friday, May 12 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville. She was 85.
     Born Aug. 25, 1931 in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Eula Mae Cooper and the widow of Odom Buffkin.
     She is survived by one daughter, Wanda B. Cox of Tabor City; a brother, Waldo “Buddy” Cooper of Loris; granddaughter, Angela (Brenden) Jones of Tabor City; grandson, Dwight Cox of Conway; and two great grandchildren, Savannah-Grace Jones and Ella Brynn Jones.
     In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Beatrice Nelson and Willidean Hawes; brother James Cooper; and a son, Bobby Buffkin.
     Visitation was planned from 2 to 2:45 Monday, May 15 in Gapway Baptist Church, Tabor City.
     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Monday, May 15 in Gapway Baptist Church, Tabor City, burial following in the Gapway Baptist Church Cemetery.
