Suffering a gunshot wound and possibly run over by a vehicle, a woman found on a Green Sea area road Monday afternoon sustained life threatening injuries, the Horry County Police Department reports.
Horry County Fire Rescue personnel and the South Carolina Highway Patrol were initially called to Bay View Drive and Mt. Olive Church Road shortly after 2 p.m. Monday, and found a 20-year-old woman lying in the road, an HCPD report said.
Fire Rescue personnel first thought the woman had been hit by a vehicle, and discovered the gunshot wound while treating her, HCPD spokeswoman Mikayla Moskov said.
Investigators are asking that anyone with information on the incident contact the Horry County Police Department at 843-248-1520.
