Harry Lee Lyles Sr.: Green Sea

1932 – 2023

     Harry Lee Lyles Sr. of Green Sea died Friday, July 28, in Mcleod Loris hospital. He was 90.

     He was the widower of Louise Powell Lyles.

     He was a retired veteran from the U.S. Army and a member of New Life Baptist Church, Tabor City.

     He is survived by two sons, Michael Lyles (Mary Lou) of Beebe, Arkansas and Harry Lee Lyles Jr. (Dawn) of Myrtle Beach; one daughter, Cindy Marie Cox (Terry) of Green Sea; five grandchildren, Brandon Cox, Alison Branch, David Lyles, Blake Lyles; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild,

     In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, Roma Lyles and Mittie Rebecca Tolbert Lyles; a granddaughter, Lisa Renee Lyles Harris; and great-granddaughter Savannah Grace Harris.

     Graveside services were planned for 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 31, in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends preceding services, from 9:15 to 10:15 p.m., in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
