Grover Zebedee Williamson III: Green Sea

1955 – 2026

     Grover Zebedee “Rusty” Williamson III of Green Sea died Wednesday, Jan. 7, in McLeod Loris hospital, Loris. He was 70.

     Born in Horry County, he was the son of the late Grover Zebedee “Bud” Williamson II and Betty Canady Williamson.

     He was the owner and operator of Rusty Williamson Stump Removal.

     Rusty never met a stranger; his kind heart and outgoing personality made him many friends; many were blessed to call him their friend. He loved meeting new people & spending time with his friends and family.

     Rusty was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

     One of his greatest joys was spending time and teaching his grandson about his business and how to do things.

     He is survived by his wife, Carmen Williamson of the home; two daughters, Jada Boyd (Clark) of Lebanon, Tennessee and Kelli Stanberry (Cameron) of Hampton, Tennessee; and one stepdaughter, Dallas Lester (Bennie ) of Dillion; five grandchildren, Ethan and Miranda Lester, Wilson and Blair Ellen Boyd, Maddie Stanberry; aunts, Linda Long (Carl) of Whiteville, Lula Mae Causey of Shallotte, Phyllis Canady of Tabor City; and several nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Williamson Cemetery, Green Sea.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the chapel and at other times at his home.
