Billie Jean Worrell Suggs: Tabor City

1945 – 2025

     Billie Jean Worrell Suggs of Tabor City died Thursday, Feb. 13, in Shoreland Health Care, Whiteville. She was 79.

     Born Nov. 7, 1945 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas M. Worrell and Dorothy Lucille Smith Worrell.

     She is survived by her husband, Robert Edward Suggs of the home; one daughter, Tammy Jean Suggs of Tabor City; and a brother, Martin Worrell (Monica) of Yorktown, Virginia.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, in Old Zion Church, Tabor City, burial following in the Old Zion Church Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services in the church.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Old Zion Wesleyan Church, 10144 Swamp Fox Hwy E., Tabor City, NC 28463
