Demetre “Jimmy” Yacoumis: Tabor City
1966 – 2025
Demetre “Jimmy” Yacoumis of Tabor City passed away in his home on Oct. 31, surrounded by his loving family. He was 59.
Jimmy was born in Athens, Greece, and grew up in Montréal, Canada, before settling in Tabor City, where he and his wife ran Maxime’s Restaurant for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Amalia, and two daughters, Sia and Dina. He was preceded in death by his mother, Athanasia Kagouras.
A visitation was planned from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach.
A funeral service was planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Myrtle Beach, burial following at Ocean Woods Cemetery.
