Antonio Gomez, Sr.: Loris

1933 – 2025

     Antonio Gomez, Sr. of Loris passed away on Saturday, Sept. 27. He was 91.

     Born Oct. 15, 1933, in Trives, Spain, he was the son of the late Juan Bautista Gomez and the late Ines Dominguez Alvarez Gomez. Mr. Gomez served his country with courage, honor, and dignity in the United States Army and retired as a banker for the Federal Reserve.

     Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Catalina Maldonado Gomez; five children, Antonio Gomez, Jr., Daniel Gomez, Joseph Gomez, Theresa J. Gomez, and Greg Gomez; and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Gomez was predeceased by his sister, Ines Gomez.

     Memorial services will be held at a later date.
