Foster Maloy Harper: Clarendon
1948 – 2025
Foster Maloy Harper of Clarendon passed away on Sunday, Nov. 2, in his home. He was 77.
Born Feb. 18, 1948 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Foster Jinks Harper and Annie Fowler Harper.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and a long-time active member of Mission Valley Original Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, William Maloy Harper (Ruthie) and Nicholas Harper of Whiteville; two daughters, Joni H. Van Dyne (Eugene) of Lumberton and Hollie H. Sasser (Jabe) of Nakina; a sister, Judy Harper of Tabor City; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Crystal Marie Harper; and two brothers, James Harper and Joseph Harper.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, in Mission Valley Original Free Will Baptist Church.
Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the church.
