Rodney M. Holmes: Loris

1948 – 2026

     Rodney M. Holmes of Loris passed away on Wednesday, June 17, following an illness. He was 78.

     Born May 14, 1948, in Loris, Rodney was the son of the late Frankie Hampton Holmes and the late Helen Madora Watson Holmes.

     Left to cherish his memory are a beloved wife, Marilyn Holmes; his children, Frankie Holmes and Tonya Blanton; and three grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, Rodney was predeceased by a sister, Rachel Coats.

     Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor Pete Johnson and Rev. Roger Chestnut officiating. Committal services followed at Holly Hill Cemetery.
