Victoria “Vicky” Johnson Lefler: North Myrtle Beach

1953 – 2025

In Loving Memory of Vicky Lefler

Victoria “Vicky” Johnson Lefler, born Aug. 10, 1953, to Annie Grace (Holt) and Doston Clio Johnson passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her devoted family in North Myrtle Beach on May 30 after an extended illness.

Vicky lived a happy life filled with love, family, and friends.

Vicky was the devoted spouse of Berry Anderson “Andy” Lefler and a loving mother to her son, Chris Mills (Michelle Schiffer) who she loved deeply. Vicky adored her grandchildren, Hailey and Madison Schiffer. She was a devoted stepmother to Amy Sanderson (David) and Christy Webb (Chris), and a loving step-grandmother to Anna Blaine, Mary Shelley Sanderson, and Ella Webb.

Vicky is also survived by her siblings, Marjorie Rasor (Roger), Walter Johnson (Sylvia), Rebecca H. Martin (Douglas), and Phyllis Faircloth (Richard); her sister-in-law, Brenda LeGrand; and her nieces and nephews: Sheri Wooten, Bret, Kelly, Tara and Reid Hayes, Angela Chandler, Meredith Bottar, Scott Johnson, Kevin Heniford, Tracy Faircloth, and Kimberly Floyd. She was predeceased by her parents, and sister, Rachel Hayes (Larry)

Vicky retired from the Columbus County School Board, as an Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and Board Clerk, and from the City of Conway, South Carolina, where she served as Deputy City Administrator until her retirement in 2019.

Vicky had a rare quality of making others smile and laugh. She found joy in walking along the beach, collecting seashells, and relaxing in the sun. She loved riding her golf cart, crafting, and sharing laughter and memories with her sisters and family. She had an enormous heart for her animals that gave her lifelong love and companionship. She was blessed with the love and kindness from her friends Jenny Potter, Deelynn Saksun and Jean Boseman.

A private celebration of life is requested by the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to McLeod Hospice or Glendale Baptist Church in Loris, South Carolina.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
