Carolyn J. Todd: Loris

Carolyn Jane Todd passed away Saturday, Jan. 12 at McLeod Loris hospital following an illness. She was 84.
Born on Nov. 19, 1928 in Loris, she was the daughter of Grier Haddon Todd and Nancy Glendora Grainger Todd.
After graduating from Coker College, Miss Todd worked with the Horry County School system as a math teacher until her retirement. She was a member of Loris First Baptist Church, enjoyed playing bridge, loved her animals and was a friend to all who knew her.
Survivors include her two nieces, Betty Ford Ayers and husband, John of Edinburg, Va. and Susan Jane Todd of Lexington; four nephews, Zarvis Thomas Ford Jr. and wife, Cherry of Florence, Grier Todd and wife Lillian of Atlanta, Ga., George Todd and wife Renee of Lexington, and Joe Todd and wife Shuana of Chapin; six great nieces, Carolyn Ayers, Robin Ayers, Suzanne Ford, Elizabeth Ford, Meg Todd Davis and Nancy Todd Jordan; two great nephews, Zachary Boyce Todd and Jonathan Todd; sister-in-law, Kathleen Todd of Saluda, SC and several great-great nieces.
In addition to her parents Miss Todd was predeceased by her two brothers, Rudolph and Boyce Todd and her two sisters, Edith Ford and Hazel Todd.
Visitation was planned from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 14 at Hardwick Funeral Home
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15 at Harwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Carl Harris officiating. Committal services were to follow at Patterson Cemetery.
