By DEUCE NIVEN

Columbus County Schools, closed all of last week and Monday of this week as a result of Hurricane Matthew, will re-open at 10 a.m. Tuesday, the school district just announced.
School workers have been back on campus today, making things ready for students and staff. That includes clearing spoiled food from cafeterias left without power for days in the aftermath of the hurricane.
Whiteville City Schools re-opened with a two-hour delay Monday, and Southeastern Community College opened on its regular schedule Monday.
Horry County Schools were open again Monday, with the exceptions of Green Sea Floyds Elementary and Green Sea Floyds High schools, scheduled to re-open Tuesday.
