Harvey Mitchell “Joe” Norris: Tabor City

1946 – 2018

     Harvey Mitchell “Joe” Norris of Tabor City died Tuesday, Sept. 25, in his home. He was 72.

     Born in Tabor City on June 20, 1946, he was an active member of Emmanuel Holiness Church in Tabor city, serving as a choir leader. He owned Norris Service Company of Tabor City, a heating and air conditioning business. His hobbies included fishing and hunting.

     He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 52 years, Kitty Jo Manning Norris, and his daughter, Tanya Michelle Norris of Tabor City.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 in Emmanuel Holiness Church, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the church.
