Wilton Christopher Griffin: Tabor City

1964 – 2022

     Wilton Christopher “Chris” Griffin of Tabor City passed away Friday, June 10, in Lumberton. He was 58.

     He was born April 10, 1964 in High Point, a son of Carolyn Leigh (Avant) Griffin Hamilton and the late Wilton Elliott Griffin.

     Chris was a residential contractor and a US Army veteran.

     He is survived by his wife, Lynn Griffin of Tabor City; his mother, Carolyn Hamilton of Tabor City; four sons, Tyler Gage Griffin and Charles Dalton Buffkin, both of Tabor City and Brandon Scott Griffin and Christopher Anthony Griffin, both of Wilmington; a daughter, Brittany Jean Griffin; a sister, Angie Griffin of Tabor City; eight grandchildren; and two nephews.

     He was preceded in death by this father; one son, Robert Elliott Griffin; and a sister, Mary Carol Griffin.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Strickland Family Cemetery in Tabor City.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service in the chapel.
