Theodore Roosevelt Lewis, Jr.: Loris

1947 – 2022

     Theodore Roosevelt Lewis, Jr. of Loris died Saturday, Oct. 8 at his home. He was 75.

     Born In Horry County, he was the son of the late Theodore R. Lewis, Sr. and Georgia Mae Rowell Lewis.

     Mr. Lewis attended Horry County public schools and was a member of the Mt. Rona Church board of trustees.

     Survivors include his wife, Melvina Russ Lewis of the home; two children, Melody R. Lewis-Stewart and Theodore R. Lewis, III, both of Raleigh; two brothers, James A. Lewis of Loris and Dr. Donell Lewis of Raleigh; a sister, Gwendolyn Lewis Gerald of Loris; two aunts; many grandchildren, cousins and friends.

     Visitation was planned from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Leggette-Troy Funeral Home in Loris.

     Services were planned for 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at Kingston Lake Business and Education Center, 3410 Church Street, Loris, burial following at Mt. Rona Cemetery in Flag Patch.
