Lillie Jean Causey Blanton: Loris

1941 – 2022

     Lillie Jean Causey Blanton of Loris passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. She was 81.

     Born Aug. 22, 1941 in Loris, she was the daughter of the late William Woodrow Causey and the late Hazel Virginia Harrelson. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and most recently attended Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church.

     Survivors include her three children, Glenn Blanton of Loris, Don Lynn Blanton and wife Barbara of Conway, and Pamela Lane and husband Richard of Loris; six grandchildren, Lindsey Williams and husband Reid, Kayla Coleman and husband Kirk, Colby Lane and wife Callie, Chad Moore, Ashley Moore and husband Jamari, and Ryan Moore; five great-grandchildren, Braelyn Moore, Mia Moore, Addison Coleman, Emilee Grace Coleman, and Korbin Williams; a brother, Jerry Lee Causey and wife Debbie of Williamsburg, Virginia; and two sisters, Alice Faye Collins and husband Wesley, and Barbara Ann Burton of Virginia.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Blanton was predeceased by her husband, Mack Edison Blanton; three brothers, Willard Monroe Causey, William Donald Causey, and Paul Douglas Causey; and a sister, Nada Wayne Barnhill.

     Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Hutson, Pastor Robert Lewis, and Rev. Jeff Blanton officiating. Committal services followed at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
