Joseph Brian Daniels: Loris

1964 – 2022

Joseph Brian Daniels of Loris gained his heavenly wings Friday evening, Dec. 16. He was 58.

Mr. Daniels was born Sept. 19, 1964, in Columbia, a son of the late JoAnna Poole Daniels and Joseph Hampton Daniels. He was a life-long educator having taught in Horry County for 30 years, and in Columbus County for 2 years. He reentered the teaching profession this past school year in Horry County as a teacher’s aid at Conway Elementary. He was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church.

Mr. Daniels, fondly known as “BA” by everyone, was a compassionate son, faithful brother, devoted uncle, and true friend. His faith and love for the Lord was expressed every day – shining his beautiful light for all to see. He had a passion for his family, enjoyed working in nature, loved every season and was a devout animal lover.

Mr. Daniels is survived by his two sisters, Kimberlin Daniels Jones (Kenneth Jones) and Pamela Carolyn Daniels, both of Myrtle Beach; two nephews, Hampton Rivers Daniels Prince of Loris and Pierceson Heins Jones of Myrtle Beach; his long-time friend Jeff Small of Loris; and special family Lee and Julia Heckathorn and their three sons – the youngest Baby Brian his namesake, all of Nakina.

A memorial service in January 2023 will be announced.

Memorials may be made to Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 1223 State Highway 57, Little River, SC 29566.
