Jacqueline Wilson Singletary: Whiteville

1930 – 2022

     Jacqueline “Jackie” Wilson Singletary of Whiteville died Monday, Jan. 2, at the Heritage Home, Florence. She was 92.

     Born Dec. 26, 1930 in Valdosta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Leon Hanson Hardwick and Maude Bell Anderson Hardwick.

     Jackie will long be remembered for her friendship and outgoing personality. She was a woman of unwavering faith and from an early age was very involved in church.

     She is survived by daughter Sherri Hickman Gore of Florence; her son-in-law, Ricky Coskrey of Florence; grandchildren Jonathan (Lori) Hickman of Florence, Rachel (Bart) Snyder of Columbia, Leah (Fields) Norwood of Florence, Blake (Allyson) Coskrey of Rock Hill; four great grandsons; and three great granddaughters.

     In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband of 55 years, William (Bill) Spencer Wilson; a daughter, Donna Coskrey; and second husband Edward Singletary.

     Family expresses much appreciation for the compassionate and loving care she received at Pee Dee Gardens and the Heritage Home over the last several years, and from McLeod Hospice in her final weeks.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the chapel.
