Luther A. Watts: Tabor City

1936 – 2023

     Luther A. Watts of Tabor City died Sunday, Jan. 15, in his home. He was 86.

Born in Horry County, he was a son of Luther M. Watts and Dollie Ann Watts.

     He is survived by his wife, Lisa Watts of the home; two sons, Rodney Watts of Pennsylvania and Joey Watts of Clarendon; three daughters, Anna Watts of Baltimore, Maryland, Nicole Soles of Tabor City, and Angel Anderson of California; nineteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mozela “Zell” Soles of Tabor City.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Dollie “Nisa” Friel; and nine brothers and sisters.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Myrtle Green Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service in the chapel.
