Linda Pollock Henderson: Loris
1950 – 2023
Linda Pollock Henderson of Loris passed away on Monday, Jan. 16. She was 72.
Born May 17, 1950 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late William Perry Smith and the late Ethel O. Lowe Smith.
Mrs. Henderson was a special person with a servant’s heart. She was able to extend her home to foster children who desired a family and extra love. She enjoyed playing the piano and gardening but most of all, anytime spent with her family made her the happiest. She was a lifelong founding member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church and most recently attended Mt. Leon Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two daughters, Kimberly A. Suggs (Kevin) of Loris and Crystal Pollock Harbeson (Greg) of Summerville; daughter-in-law Cindy Pollock-Embree of Greensboro; eight grandchildren, David Pollock (Briton), Danielle Rosario, Devin Pollock, Courtney Pollock, Trey Suggs (Morgan), Amber Suggs, Elizabeth Harbeson, and Gregory Harbeson; and six great-grandchildren, Texacate Pollock, Scarlet Pollock, Lachlan Pollock, Magnolia Suggs, Emma Rosario, and Daniel Rosario.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Henderson was predeceased by her sister, Adella Smith Pray and a son, Perry Ray Pollock.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Cumberland Memorial Cemetery in Fayetteville with Rev. Andy Bell officiating.
