Eva Alberta Gause Boruta: Loris
1934 – 2023
Eva Alberta “Bert” Gause Boruta of Loris passed away on Friday, Jan. 27. She was 88.
Born March 12, 1934 in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Alton Joseph Gause and the late Bertha Viola Prince Gause.
Mrs. Bert was a loving homemaker, devoted to her Baptist faith, and dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
Survivors include her sons, Danny (JoJo) Long and Dale (Gina) Long; daughter-in-law Karen Long; a sister, Faye Hancock; brothers Troy (Gloria) Gause and Billy Wayne Gause; sisters-in-law Helen Gause and Carole Gause; and many loving grand and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boruta was predeceased by her first husband, Wilson Long; her second husband, Stanley “Stan” Arthur Boruta; two sons, Randy Long and Bobby Long; daughter-in-law Cheryl Long, and four brothers, Donald Gause, W.J. Gause, Hilton Lephone Gause, and Tommy Gause.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tony Phillips officiating.
Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services at the funeral home.
