Arnold Douglas Ward: Tabor City

1945 – 2023

     Arnold Douglas Ward of Tabor City died Friday, Feb. 10, in his home. He was 77.

     Born in Horry County, he was the son of the late Rudolph Ward and Bessie Rouse Ward.

     He is survived by his wife, Martha Williams Ward of Tabor City; one son, Arnold Ward Jr. of Green Sea; a daughter, Debra Terrill (Eric) of Stockton Springs, Maine; three brothers, Kenneth Ward of Tabor City, Winston Ward of Tarboro, Eldridge Ward of Greensboro; two sisters, Leona Beck of Tabor City and Jean Troope Bass of Lumberton; four grandchildren, Savannah M. Ward, Chandler Cox, Riley Terrill, Easton Cox.

     In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Blease Ward and Rudolph D. Ward Jr. (RD); three sisters, Rachel Calhoun, Norma Horne, and Faye Grainger.

     Graveside services were planned for 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.

     Family planned to receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
