Rosabell Powell: Clarendon

1926 – 2023

     Rosabell Powell of Clarendon went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Tuesday, Feb. 14. She was 96.

     She was the daughter of the late George Washington Faircloth and Beulah Bernice (Duncan) Faircloth of Tabor City.

     She is survived by one son, Monte Powell of Clarendon; three daughters, Gail Cannon and Wilma Goins, both of Whiteville and Melody Smith of Clayton; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Thelbert Lacy Powell; a brother, Horace Faircloth; an infant daughter; two infant sons; and one infant great-granddaughter.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Clarendon Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan Edwards officiating, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services in the church.
