Carrie Altman Johnson: Loris

1955 – 2023

     Carrie Altman Johnson of Loris passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26. She was 67.

     Born March 8, 1955 in Conway, she was the daughter of the late Sam Altman, Jr., and the late Ruby Tyler Altman.

     Carrie attended Bethany Baptist Church, was an excellent cook, who was known for her famous pecan pies, and truly adored her grandchildren. She always enjoyed bantering with her husband and will be genuinely missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

     Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Ronnie Dale Johnson; a son, Ronald Kelvin Johnson; two grandchildren, Madilyn Grace Johnson and Mollie Paige Johnson; two brothers, Rev. Ross Altman (Sheila) and Johnny Altman (Barbara); a nephew, Ricky Altman (Rianna); a niece, Kim Faircloth (Timmy); and her beloved puppy, Peanut.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Bethany Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Lewis, Rev. Ross Altman, and Rev. Lonnie Johnson officiating, committal services following at Bethany Baptist Church, 3160 Highway 45, Loris.

     Visitation was planned for the 90-minutes preceding the service in the church.
