Kaye Frances Gore Grainger: Green Sea

1943 – 2023

     Kaye Frances Gore Grainger of Green Sea died Monday, April 10, peacefully in her home with her family by her side. She was 80.

     Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Blease Gore and Lizzie Strickland Gore.

     She is survived by her husband, Dale Grainger of the home; a son, Kevin Grainger and wife Natalie of Tabor City; two sisters, Betty Gore of Charleston and Bonnie Wright of Tabor City; three grandchildren, Connor Grainger and fiancée Kaylee Mikres, Kourtney Grainger and fiancée Chase Strickland, and Tori Grainger.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Wayne Gore.

     Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 15, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, April 16, in Carolina Baptist Church, Green Sea, burial following in the church cemetery.
