Manly Oscar Bullock: Tabor City

1959 – 2023

Manly Oscar “PeeWee” Bullock of Tabor City joined his Lord Jesus on Sunday, May 28, in Grand Strand Health in Myrtle Beach. He was 63.

PeeWee was born in Green Sea and he and his wife of 42 years, Roxanne Lovette Bullock, built a wonderful life in Tabor City.

A believer in hard work first, PeeWee spent his free time spoiling his daughter, Kandi Bullock Dill, and his grandson, Randall Buffkin. He was happy at work, scanning the night sand for flounder, walking behind a bird dog, or standing on an Outer Banks beach with Roxanne.

PeeWee was a builder by nature and was blessed with a large work family. He spent his professional life with Baldwin Construction helping build Myrtle Beach. He loved seeing a team build something and completing a job, and he loved the occasional joke, story, and prank along the way.

PeeWee is survived by Roxanne, Kandi, Randall, and one brother, Heyward “Woody” Bullock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Edith Tompkins Bullock; brothers Danny Bullock, William Eddie Bullock, and Herbert “Junior” Bullock, Jr.; and a sister, Linda Bullock Branton.

Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, June 1, in Gapway Cemetery, Tabor City.
