James Wallace Scott: Tabor City

1940 – 2023

     James Wallace “T-Man” Scott of Tabor City died Monday, June 26, in the McLeod Loris hospital. He was 82.

     Born Dec. 28, 1940 in Horry County, he was the son of the late Charlie O’Steen Scott and Stella Watts Scott.

     He is survived by two daughters, Sandy Lynn Register of Whiteville and Delores Anne Strickland of Sumter; siblings Keith Scott and Myrtle Powers; two grandsons; and one great granddaughter.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, George, Lee, Joe, and Jerry; and two sisters, Ella Jane Scott and Irene Ward.

     A graveside service was planned for 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 30, in the Crusoe Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 1046 Long Corner Road, Whiteville.

     Visitation was planned from 4 to 5 p.m. preceding the funeral service at Inman Ward Funeral Home.
